Sterling silver Etrog box with 14K gold decorations Our first Etrog box has a body of 925 Sterling Silver. It is crafted in a royal design with a curved bottom. The center is adorned by a square pattern. The silver lid is similarly designed, curved all around in a majestic and royal appearance. Most striking about the Etrog chamber is the gold highlighting that abounds. Its gold stands are magnificent, and there are gold-studded details at the top. The center of the box has a floral decoration: three gold flowers pressed together amid leaves, stunningly detailed. Above, a stately latch seals the box, matched by swathes of gold, symbols of flowers, and a golden handle. Through completing our mitzvot, we bridge the gap between the physical and spiritual worlds. We uplift our universe to make it pure. On Sukkot, we do this with the mitzvah of Etrog: "And you shall take unto yourselves on the first day [of Sukkot] a fruit of a beautiful tree." What makes the Etrog beautiful? One aspect is that it exists all year round. It does not appear in the best of times and then vanish. It maintains its consistency; it is permanent.
